As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

TOURNAMENT ORGANISATION
Since the early sixties Euro-Sportring offers in Catalonia an international sports programme. Over the years hundreds of teams have enjoyed an international sport tour on the pitches of this nice environment. Because of this experience, a network of skilled co-operators is created. Besides that, the development of international programmes has received great support from the Catalonia Football Association.

The tournament is organised by a commission that takes care of several tournaments each year. The referee committee of the Catalonia Football Association actively supports the organisation committee. During the tournament all games in all categories are directed by federal referees under the authority of the Federació Catalana de Futbol.

TOURNAMENT FORMULA
Participation of the Trofeo Mediterraneo is possible for clubs that are affiliated by their National Football Association conform the FIFA-regulations. The tournament is organised according to the regulations of the Catalonia Football Association, The Spanish Football Association and the FIFA.

TRANSPORT TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT AND DURING TOURNAMENT:

AIRPORT TRANSFERS/LOCAL TRANSPORT:
The possibility exists to hire a bus especially for your group for transport from/to the airport and/or during the tournament days. If you wish to use this option, you must indicate this when you make your booking. Prices are available on request.

TOURNAMENT SHUTTLE:
On the tournament days a shuttle bus rides at fixed times. This shuttle service only transports groups from centrally located pick-up points near the accommodation(s) to the sports park(s) and vice versa, for the groups own matches and the other programme items as described above. If you want to use this shuttle service, you must indicate this when you make your booking.

Touristic information
North of Barcelona is famous as a holiday area with a chain of popular sea side resorts. Especially in the area between Calella and Tossa de Mar you will find wide, sandy beaches and lots of entertainment. Each resort has its own characteristics and attractions: Calella with its bustling centre, the beach of Santa Susanna, the charming atmosphere of Malgrat, the picturesque boulevard with the fisherman's wharf in Blanes, the exciting attractions of Lloret and the breath taking cliffs of the Costa Brava around Tossa de Mar. Wherever you stay, it is for sure that you won't have enough time to explore all the attractions in this area. Who doesn't know the great attractions of the beautiful Olympic city of Barcelona, a unique city? You will need more than a day to explore the centre. Nevertheless you can catch the spirit if you follow the following programme: the Sagrada Familia one of the landmarks of Barcelona, the cathedral by Gaudi with a bizarre architecture, Plaza Catalunya and the Ramblas the heart of the city full of shops, restaurants and terraces, the gothic quarter with its narrow, picturesque alleys, Mont Juic the mountain right in the centre with the Olympic facilities, castle and attraction park plus of course a magnificent view over the city and the sea, Plaza España the square with the famous fountains and beautiful palaces. And of course you should visit the stadium of F.C. Barcelona because a visit to this impressive Camp Nou Stadium is the climax for the real football fan.

FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona is one of the greatest European football clubs. No wonder, since football is the most popular sport in Catalonia. But for Catalans 'Barça' is more than just a club. On one hand there is the impressive track records of famous players such as Kubala, Maradonna, Johan Cruijff, Romario and Ronaldo. On the other hand there is its alignment with Catalonian history. During the dictatorship of Franco, when all show of Catalanism were forbidden, Barça became a kind of a national symbol. Besides a visit on your own, there is also a guided tour through the stadium and/or you can visit the Barça museum. Additional facilities: souvenir shop and cafetaria.

Leisure activities:
- Boat trip. Cruise and admire the coast line of the Costa Brava and the Costa Maresma between Tossa de Mar and Calella. See the historic sites, the remaining of the occupations by the Greeks and the Romans, the botanical gardens of Blanes, the beaches of Lloret and the medieval town of Tossa. The boat cruises according to a fixed schedule visiting all main resorts along the coast.

- The Botanic Gardens of Blanes. The Botanic Gardens of Blanes, founded in the beginning of the 20th century, is one of the most beautiful Botanic Gardens of Europe with an area of 16 hectares. About a million plants from over 6000 species, divided in four main areas. A stroll through the gardens takes you to the cliffs of the coast with breathtaking views of the Costa Brava.

- Flamenco Show/St. Susanna. The Flamenco show is a Spanish night in an old Catalan Farm House in St. Susanna. Enjoy the ambience and art of southern Spain with a great flamenco show and afterwards you can try your own moves on the dance floor. Note: other excellent options are in Tordera and the Grand Palace in Lloret de Mar.

Funparks:
- Waterworld/Lloret de Mar. Waterworld situated at about 1 miles from the centre of Lloret de Mar on the way to Tordera. Waterworld is more than just a water park and offers many exciting water attractions: Water Mountain (roller coaster) and Rafting River (Europe's biggest water chute), the X-treme Mountain, a Big Dipper over 260 meters long, Storm (two big funnels), Wild River and the Wave Pool. All that and more... Of course you will also find a bar, an ice cream parlour, restaurants, souvenir shop, changing rooms, showers, a swimming pool. Waterworld is open from mid May until the end of September.

- Marineland/Palafolls. Marineland is an attractive combination of dolphinarium/marine zoo and water park, situated in Palafolls between Malgrat de Mar and Blanes. The visitors can be guaranteed of a day full of fun. The marine zoo (65.000 mæ) houses dolphins, seals, sea lions, parrots, penguins, etc. The 40.000 mæ of the water park include swimming pools, straight and spiral slides like Boomerang, Crazy Race, Twister, Super Slalom, Black Hole and Anaconda (slide down in total darkness). There are also a lot of attractions for the younger kids. Of course the park offers bar, restaurants, showers, changing rooms and gift shop. Marineland is open from the 3rd week of April until the 1st week of October.

Program introduction
Be prepared for a stay full of attractions when visiting the Copa Maresme. The group matches will be planned in a compact schedule, so that the participating guests will have time to enjoy the numerous attractions in the area and of course a visit of the beautiful city of Barcelona and its famous Camp Nou football stadium! The tournament will start on Tuesday morning the preliminary games with an official welcome ceremony with flagparade. In the evening the group leaders will be welcomed at a team leaders reception, for a typical Spanish flamenco with food and drinks. The last group matches and classification rounds will be played on Thursday. On Friday all attention will be focused on the finals, followed immediately by a prize giving ceremony, at the pitches.
